All martial arts classes at CMAA require a specific uniform, which can only be purchased at the dojo.
Each program has it’s own equipment requirements, these can be found in the Student Information section of our website: https://selfdefenseiq.info/arts/student-information/
All equipment & uniforms can be purchased from CMAA, we source good quality gear from reliable suppliers, to ensure that our members always have the right equipment that will last and be good value for money.
CMAA operates on a ‘user pays’ system for gradings, rather than incorporating grading fees into memberships, members only need to pay when they actually grade. Grading fee includes; administration and testing fee, new belt, and official rank certificate.

There is no fitness requirement to starting martial arts, in fact, martial arts will help you get fit and keep you moving. All of our classes can be tailored to any fitness level and ability.
We have a number of students in their 50s & 60s who are actively training across a variety of our programs. If you are willing and able, we can train you, you are never too old to get started! In 2012, CMAA had a student who was about to turn 80 who earned a Black Belt in FMA (Filipino Martial Arts).
If you have any pre-existing health conditions or injuries, it is always recommended to get clearance from a medical professional before starting any new physical exercise.
